The Community Service Club at Ó£ÌÒÊÓƵ/ALIF is the local branch of an ACA-wide organization. Young Moroccans and students of Arabic at ALIF participate in projects to benefit the local community, ranging from weekly tutoring sessions to one-time school repairs and murals. Other activities have included annual blood drives, food drives, and clothing drives. There is a strong emphasis on sustainability and beneficiary empowerment. Members are welcome to join one or all of the activities, as well as suggest additional projects.
Some of the most recent CSC projects included: designing a mural at a local kindergarten, delivering a workshop on sustainability in Morocco in conjunction with ALC Meknes, tutoring and teaching English at the Hanoun Center, and holding story reading sessions at the Medina Children’s Library.
